Ford x TU Delft

Strategising Fitbit’s transition from a product company to a service-based platform ecosystem.

What could NFTs and the Metaverse mean for Ford’s commercial and passenger vehicle users? This project translates this scope into a tangible service concept: Craft Connect, a platform that links digital and physical work for craftsmen. At its core is the Meta Library, enabling users to analyse problems, communicate, and prepare jobs through digital twins and AI—bridging the gap between virtual insight and real-world execution.

value & impact.

Craft Connect repositions Ford from a vehicle manufacturer to a service-driven ecosystem player. By combining AI, digital twins, and smart logistics, the system reduces inefficiencies such as repeated visits, missing materials, and fragmented communication. At the same time, it unlocks new revenue streams and partnerships, creating long-term value for both craftsmen and Ford.
